There's been a lot of repairs, but the one that pops in my mind is we had to remove a tile landing pad for an old antique stove. The flooring was spruce-pine two-by-six decking in a cabin. First, tracking down that material to match the existing flooring was fun. Once we tore it up, it took me a lot longer than expected. We ended up tearing out about 200 square feet, and it took me almost two days to put it all back together. After finding the wood, we had to get it in the home and let it dry for probably two months, because the stuff you find isn't typical in your mill. They were fourteen-foot lengths to make it look like the rest of the home, wall to wall. Some had a mild bow, so a lot of prying, pulling it, sucking it tight. To make it exactly the same as their home, it was all sixteen-penny hand-nailed, so a lot of hard hand-nailing on that one. There are probably photos of that one on my page.
